Pusha T and Jeremih hit the studio together to give us a new banger, “Paid,” in support of the soon to be released movie The Land. The track is a departure from the Virginia native’s previous work, as the light bouncing and feel good singing of Jeremih’s hook makes this a decidedly “happier” affair. Push is who he is so he’ll never forgo an allusion to drug dealing and he finds a way to slip one in on “Paid.”

We spend it on light toys, dodging them bike boys
Flipping them pill packs, dodging them bike boys
We know the risk and the pay off
You only live once, so we never take a day off
(WHOO!) Chop shops for the small change
Small gun with a long range
With the molly, made our own lane
We just here to get paid, we just tryna get paid

The Land is an indie film that “follows four Cleveland inner-city teen friends – Cisco (Jorge Lendeborg Jr.), Junior (Moises Arias), Boobie (Ezri Walker), and Patty Cake (Rafi Gavron) – determined to turn their passion for skateboarding into their No. 1 priority.”  The soundtrack is a star-studded event, featuring songs from Nas and Erykah Badu, French Montana and more. Nas and Badu are pulling double duty with the former listed as the executive producer while the latter was tapped for a starring role in the film.

The film will be released in stores and streaming tomorrow, July 29th, but the soundtrack is available for streaming now.
