The Game Releases A 10-Song Soundtrack To His Video Game ‘Block Wars

Selling albums and making money off actual album sales in 2016 isn’t as easy as it once was for The Game, but he’s finding loopholes in the system with one very useful tactic: sponsored content. First was his mixtape in conjunction with his gig with A&E, Streets of Compton, now Jayceon has another 10-song project to go with his very own mobile game, both titled Block Wars.

The Compton MC announced the video game, and a partnership with Atari back in May, and, while the game has yet to be released and we’ve yet to see any actual gameplay footage, we now know what it will sound like. Block Wars is mostly a solo effort for Chuck, besides a hook from Lorine Chia and features production from Jelly Roll, SAP, Goodguydez and Bongo.

Block Wars, the game, is set to be released “later this summer” and looks to be a strategy game along the lines of the ever-popular Clash Of Clans and as the soundtrack’s press release states “an ultra-violent game gets an ultra-violent soundtrack.”

The songs may be a tad dated because oddly enough, Game disses Young Thug on “Lights Go Out,” saying “Tell Young Thug come out the closet, the f*ck you foolin’?” Things seemed to be squashed between the former foes a few weeks back when Thugger wished Game’s son Harlem a happy birthday along with a ton of other celebrities including Drake, Steph Curry, Kanye West, Lil Wayne and more.

Whatever the case, check out The Game’s new Block Wars project below and purchase on iTunes.
