Update: That New Travi$ Scott Album ‘Days Before Birds’ Is Unauthorized

UPDATE: Well, so much for that. An Epic rep confirmed to Complex that the release is fake and ” is in the process of being taken down.” So enjoy it while you can kids, and await an explanation for this odd mixup.

For music fans, Friday is the day of gifts and this week one of them includes a surprise EP from Travi$ Scott titled Days Before Birds. Details are scant, but the LP featuring appearances from Wale, PARTYNEXTDOOR, Lil Uzi Vert, Migos and Young Thug twice popped up on streaming services suddenly for everybody’s listening pleasure.

The most educated guess says this is a bunch of tracks that didn’t quite make his latest album Birds In The Trap Sing McKnight for a myriad of reasons. Some of them have leaked in previous forms and some probably just didn’t fit the album but Trav wanted them out so here they are. What’s interesting is the LP is released through T.I.’s Roc Nation imprint Grand Hustle, which served as a subsidiary for Birds, an album ultimately distributed by Epic. What that means for Scott’s label status is anybody’s guess, but given his spats with labels before it could mean trouble for him in the future if he got overzealous and Epic didn’t green light this release.

Whatever the case, it’s 10 new-ish Travi$ Scott songs so that’s always welcomed, even if we’ve heard “Hooch,” the “Uber Everywhere” remix and a few others before.
