Popular Demand has partnered with Def Jam Records once again – this time for an exclusive ‘Champagne Sip’ private event with legendary hip hop artist Common for the release of his 10th studio album, ‘Nobody’s Smiling’ at the Popular Demand Flagship Store on Fairfax Ave. in Los Angeles.
The two joined forces for the event to bring together a select crowd of music industry executives, artists, producers, journalists and a few lucky fans for the evening to experience the new album and flowing champagne. Common took the time to speak to the crowd about the state of hip hop and his decision to collaborate with newcomers like Chance the Rapper, Vince Staples and Lil Herb. Guests enjoyed live performances by Common with LA based DJs Eric of Dena and DJ Sleek on the turntables. Among the attendees were James Fauntleroy, VH1’s JasFly, comedian DeStorm Power and more.
‘Nobody’s Smiling’ is available now for purchase on iTunes.
