Young M.A. finds herself at the center of controversy after a promoter accuses her of skipping out on a performance in New Orleans while keeping money for the show. He claims M.A. only stiffed fans but she ran off with $33,000 of his money, too.
The video posted above a promoter who goes by the name of Winston and claims affiliation with Tank Dawg Records alleges the “OOOUUU” rapper backed out of her scheduled performance because the venue wasn’t “packed enough” to her liking. According to his account, M.A.’s decision not perform was the culmination what was a difficult process overall when it came to working with her.
“Young M.A. had a nasty attitude the whole time,” Winston says. “I called her about my back end because she didn’t show. She ran to the airport with her management team. They stop answering the phone.” After posting his first video seen above, he gathered up a few of his gun-toting associates and they proceed to threaten M.A. “My hood pissed off, M.A.,” Winston says. “We want our f*cking money!”

The Brooklyn upstart caught wind of the social media taunts and accusations, turning to Snapchat to share with fans her version of the events. According to her, she was stuck at her hotel for three hours while waiting for an Uber driver to arrive. “I just want to give a shout out to all my supporters,” she says. “Please don’t believe everything you see in the media. God knows. That’s all.” She also promises to start recording videos of what takes place before shows so fans know it’s not her fault when things go wrong.
Nonetheless, Winston has already released a diss song directed at M.A., even using the instrumental to her hit song, and sending more threats and jabs her way. You can listen to that below while we wait to see if both parties can get the situation resolved before it gets any uglier.
