TV Avalanche, Episode 11: ‘Fargo,’ ‘Silicon Valley,’ ‘Better Call Saul’ Spoilers & More

Technology is a wonderful and magical thing when it works properly, but it can also be an enormous drag when it doesn’t. The latter was the case for most of our recording of episode 11 of the TV Avalanche Podcast, as Brian Grubb and I had to start and stop multiple times because our remote connection kept dropping out. Hopefully, the seams won’t be too obvious, and some of the seeming gaps are just us pausing because one of us or the other was distracted by the ongoing technical bugs. Sorry, folks.

(Also, this probably wasn’t the best week to try it, given the other issues, but after getting complaints about podcast file size, I exported this week’s episode at a lower quality level, which made it smaller and should hopefully not sound too different, since it’s just two guys yakking.)

Still, it was a full and fun hour-plus conversation, covering Fargo season 3, Silicon Valley season 4, Amazon’s Bosch, HBO’s The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks (Oprah’s first big acting role in a while), and Netflix’s Girlboss, followed by spoiler segments on the season premieres of both Better Call Saul and The Leftovers. And when all that was done, Brian was kind/cruel enough to let me vent about the horrible state of my favorite basketball team.

TV Avalanche is now available on iTunes (please rate and review if you haven’t already), Stitcher, and Android. If it’s not on Google Play now, it’s in the works. You can also stream it below or download it from SoundCloud. The rundown:
