Just The FAQs, Ma’am: RSS Feed, Show-Specific Pages & Other New Site Questions Answered

We’re a few days into the new digs here at Uproxx, and enough questions keep coming up again and again that it made sense to do a FAQ-style post to address them all. Let’s get started:

Is there an RSS feed for the new site?

There is, indeed. It’s at Uproxx.com/sepinwall/feed. I have it plugged into my own RSS reader, and it’s been working just fine.

How do I find reviews categorized by show?

This is a work in progress, and a big priority for the engineering team here. Over the last few weeks, they imported tens of thousands of HitFix stories — not just from my old blog, but from everywhere on a site that’s been around for close to eight years — and now begins the process of properly organizing some of it, specifically focusing on the show-specific sections, whether shows currently in the rotation like Westworld or something long-finished like Breaking Bad or How I Met Your Mother.

I don’t know exactly how long it will take, but it is being addressed as we speak.

What will happen to the HitFix Critics Poll?

The previous years’ Critics Polls are among the few pieces of the old site that haven’t been imported to Uproxx yet, but that’s also being worked on, and the plan is to have a fifth annual Poll — or first annual, under the new site name — published sometime in December.

Do the old commenting rules still apply?

Yes, though it’s probably time to make a few tweaks to rules last codified back in 2011. For now, though, assume that all the old ones — most of which fall somewhere under the umbrella of “Don’t be an ass to other people” — are still in force, and comment accordingly.

What about all those auto-play videos?

Besides Ask Alan — which is taking the week off while the video team deals with site transition issues, but which could use some new questions at the new address of askalan@uproxx.com — and the occasional review where I have specifically recorded a video about the topic in question, there won’t be videos embedded into any stories I publish here.

If you have other questions, let me know here in the comments, or email me at sepinwall@uproxx.com.
