The other night my dog mom sock friend and I were having a heated but friendly debate about tattoos and what truly defines how cool a tattoo is. He claimed that tattoos are personal to most people and that nobody should have to explain what a tattoo means. I countered that if you’re going to permanently alter your skin, it should at least look awesome. Don’t believe me? Just ask any sorority girl how they feel about their dolphins in the shape of a heart tramp stamp when they turn 35.
Then the question became: “If you had to get a tattoo right now, what would it be?” I had to think long and hard about this one, as I did throughout college when I often went with my friends when they received their tattoos and I sat and wondered. I finally decided that if I had to get a tattoo, I would get a Muppet, possibly Statler and Waldorf or Fozzie Bear. Why? Because the Muppets are awesome. So I Googled “Muppets tattoos” and sweet mother love bone, some people already beat me to it, and quite awesomely I might add.
The consensus seems to be that Animal is the top choice among Muppets enthusiasts, but I also assume he’s mostly popular among drummers. Regardless, these people did it right.
