You only use less than 10% of brain cells for cognitive function. People say random shit about weed with scientific sounding bullshit but there is nothing conclusive. I think weed may trigger schizophrenic breaks in people with the underlying condition and temporarily slow functions (when you’re actually high) but there are several positive effects.

I don’t see the point of inhaling anything besides air; not a jab at my weed-smokers but I’ve never seen or felt the fascination with ganja smoking. Trust me, I’ve blazed occasionally and it never did much for or to me. Maybe I was smoking some weak grade???

I smoked in high school. Got high, but I was like “What’s the point?” The money I spent on this ish could go towards something better and long lasting.

@Ragga, the only time I smoked weed was a few tokes back in 1996, however, I have seen first hand the detrimental effects it has on certain individuals.
I wouldn’t touch the stuff with a ten foot barge pole, you are right it does have many medicinal benefits, however, those who smoke it freely and without due care, I think they are playing Russian Roulette with their sanity on that one.
But to each their own and whatever whatever.

I have a friend who used to toke daily for years. She still smokes every once in a while… but even she admits that she has noticed the effect her previous smoking habits have had on her ability to recall things, etc.
And trust me, this is a woman who would love nothing more for that not to be the case – I mean, she still smokes if that is any indication.
Like 500K, I am not taking any jabs at weed smokers (my doctor has even offered to write me a script for the stuff – I live in Cali)… but I cannot stand the smell.
Plus, I hate lying to my doctors (I have a few). They always ask about drinking and marijuana use. I do not use either (alcohol, weed, or anything else).
It is crazy for me to think about how a mother whom is older still smokes that ish though. She is a professional (as most who smoke are) and I just do not see the risks (random drug testing at her corporate job) outweighing the positives.
I spoke to her last week just after she smoked and while she ended up smoking with some people much (much) younger than her (which was mind-boggling – just to smoke – that was straight dumb)… she also was straight STUPID. A normally intelligent woman could not even keep one subject in mind… was bouncing from thing to thing.
It was pathetic.
It was at that point that I asked if she smoked… then said, “I will call you tomorrow because you are making absolutely NO sense at the moment.”
To each his or her own but… I just do not get it. When you are young… if you are a cancer patient, etc, yeah, I can see. But anything beyond that (age, kids, being an adult and going to smoke at someone’s house who still lives with their PARENTS just to get high, etc) is just odd to me.
But that is simply my opinion.
Some of you can handle that ish much better than my best friend.

And they say it is not addictive (I honestly do not believe it is… but then again, I have never touched the stuff) but man… people make some questionable decisions JUST to smoke so…
You kind of have to wonder.

Happy for all you non-smokers.. and i support all your efforts to discuss the ills of weed smoking with others if it helps to make someone else quit.

Marijuana smoke causes DNA harm? Where in the world did they pull that from?
