Thanks to different experiences and people I’ve been blessed with throughout life, acoustic music is style I have come to love throughout the years. Maroon 5’s 1.22.03.Acoustic serves as a personal favorite some six years later. Because of this, subsequently, the group’s music became something I vested interest in.
The five man gang from Los Angeles are not to be confused with another famous musician from the area, but they do not exactly rush to put albums on shelves either. We find ourselves eclipsing the three year mark this past May since the release of their last album It Won’t Be Soon Before Long. That streak comes to an end September 21 when the quintet releases their third studio album Hands All Over.
Backed by an uptempo, drum-heavy instrumental, the 5 tackle the subject of commitment when one side is willing to go the extra mile while the other shows no appreciation for the effort on “Give A Little More.” A heavy concept, but with the light feel of the song it should have no problem landing somewhere on the charts sometime this fall. The only thing missing was Adam Levine somehow incorporating the dreaded “we have to talk” text into the record.
And now for the live performance.
