"Your NFL Recap: Week 6"
dammmnn, jets never get a good rep on this site.
fuck the pat’s, ya’ll r jus still upset after that very forgettable 2nd half vs NY 2nd week that gave us the win.
Jets aren’t gettin’ a good rep anywhere outside of NYC this week, that call was awful.
As a Pats fan living in Baltimore, that win was great. Had we lost I wouldn’t have heard the end of it for weeks.
Jerry Jones:”Wade Phillips is STILL my guy. His job is NOT in jeopardy”
Shoutouts to Big Ben for coming through and Dropping Bombs–Hiroshima. We got Miami next week and despite the fact that they won against the Packers, Henne is gonna be seeing the sky.
Nobody knows, the troubles I have seen…
Nobody knows, my sorrows…
1-15 Cowboys baby!!!
Regarding the Desean Jackson hit: DAMN. I’m glad the Young G(od) is fine, but he was looked like Shook Ones pt. 2 out there.
how bot dem cowboys!! Man that offensive line for the cowboys aren’t playing well. and next Monday the G-Men are coming to town. if yall don’t sure up yall o-line the G-men will hit Homo Romo till he says NOMO!! lol
1-15 Cowboys baby!!!
Jerry Jones’s face just cracked. HOW BOUT DEM COWBOYS!!!!
I love the Big Ben interview: he gives his game performance a B+ – C-; but after the game he was looking for a couple of DD. lol
Jackson got a “severe” concussion… memory loss n shit, wtf! when i saw that hit, i felt it lol
Respect…THE FOOTBALL GIANTS!!! My Giants were looking fabulous against the Lions(then again, EVERYBODY looks fabulous against the Lions! Haha!)with the offensive line finally working together as a cohesive unit and the defense performing as stellar as ever. The fucking 49ers FINALLY won a damn game so I guess Singletary won’t have to start handing out resumes for another week!
ps: Who do you ninjaz favour to win Mondays’ match-up? Tennessee and Jacksonville both have the same record so I think that it’s going to be a grimey battle similar to the Cowboys/Vikings game.
go pats fuck the jets and i heard desean jackson has memory loss from that hit.pretty sick
I think this’ll be one of the lowest rated Monday Night games in a while. I’d take Tennessee on the strength of their defense.
I question the ability to even comment on the game of football anybody who says that PI call in the Jets game was “awful” . . it was dead on. He grabbed his fucking mask. Done. And then the botched snap. Done and done. They could’ve won that game and they handed it to us on a silver platter. We’ll take it, that’s what good teams do – even if they’ve been outplayed in one particular match.
Flea: The Giants are starting to play well, they are getting the running game going and Eli is throwing well. If Dallas plays sloppy like the have been playing their last couple of games the Giants are going to beat them Monday and knock Romo out.
As far as tonights game, both teams have the same strengths and weaknesses, whomever runs the ball better wins. If I had to pick I would go with Tenn, just because they will get a int from gerrad
Just about every call before that Holmes PI went Denver’s way, including an unnecessary roughness call that was completely clean and a few catches for the Broncos where possession was very questionable. Denver also got key pass interference calls going their way to extend drives and lead to scores. Yeah, the Jets played terrible. They had three turnovers and lost an onside kick, but they still won. To simply sum up the game the way you did just shows your bias as a Patriots fan. Half the article is on one game, the rest are summed up in the other half. If you’re gonna blog about football, put your team preferences aside and give a fair analysis of the game. If not, stick to blogging about Hip-Hop.
I think Desean Jackson & Joseph Addai took crucial head blows. The Addai one was crazy due to the fact that he had a neck injury just last week.
James Harrison needs to be fined/suspended.
1) FUCK Chris Collinsworth. Goddammit.
2) This was my biggest fear about Desean. He’s my boy, but he is a small boy. I knew somethin like that was waitin around the corner for him sooner or later.
@shail how’s that a bad call? the cb grabbed holmes’ mask and turned his head.
This was my biggest fear about Desean. He’s my boy, but he is a small boy. I knew somethin like that was waitin around the corner for him sooner or later.
Yeah, same here. Crossing routes are a beast… especially if your QB is eyeing the rush and not leading you w/ concern for the secondary.
And the pass interference call was legit, but not all the way to the other side of the field legit.
15 yards, 1st down should be the call.
If the spot of the ball on that interference call was legit (not the call, the spot) then every team needs to do that play 20 times a week.
3 Hail Mary’s and punt on 4th down.
Higher scoring games.
More prominent refs (Imagine, referee commercials for Nike, etc)
No more long field goals….
I couldn’t have said it better my friend…just like Tom Brady, pats fan’s are bitches
Did no one else notice that the Eagles, without Vick and without DeSean for most of the game still beat the Falcons?
That shit convinced me that we might still be one of the top NFC teams.
James Harrison of the Steelers has no class and should be fined and barred from the NFL for the flagrant head shots to Cribbs and Masaquoi who both have concussions. He was head hunting and not called for a foul by the “homer” refs. They should also be removed as refs because they are gutless to call the game right. If the NFL doesn’t, I wouldn’t venture stepping into Ohio. The Steelers also gloated over Harrison’s antics without showing concern for the injure players. How can the Steelers be called the class of the NFL. This is from a Brown’s Backer in Lady Lake FL
as much as i hate to say it, i disagree. By letting Wade finish out the season you are avoided the classic Redskins mistake of firing a coach too early. There is a lot going on in Dallas and if Wade turns it around (ala Tom Coughlin Giants SB year) he is the man for the job. You dont want to bring in a new coach and watch the team turn around, only to find out the next year that he actually sucked, and it was the team that turned it around not him.
And I think Desean Jackson and Joseph Addai are dead. Head injuries are no joke and those two looked like someone just told them that their mom’s are fucking delonte west after those hits… Just lost and hurt. Nothing else.
Dave: What, like your boy TJ Ward last week? Big hits happen, get over it. Scoreboard. Males don’t blame the refs, that’s a female trait.
Anyway I expect a hefty fine for Harrison but there better not be a suspension for something that didn’t even draw a damn flag. If they change the rules after this season, then so be it. But as of yesterday, it was a legal hit.
actually the league rules already state that a player is to be suspended for a helmet to helmet hit that results in an injury. It is clearly not enforced. lets be honest, until they remove pads and helmets these types of plays will always happen. While I agree that Harrison has literally zero class and is a world record holder in the 100 meter douche, those werent dirty hits. he just needs to man up and admit that he hurt people and its not a good thing. this whole tough guy persona is tired and football players dont need it. its never good to hurt someone Mr. Harrison. Calm down.
I should’ve explained myself better. Yeah, it’s a legit PI call. But that call deciding the game was awful. Throw up a prayer and win the game when you get outplayed all day? Not the way I like to see a team win, especially when it’s a team I hate. Should the Broncos have stopped them from scoring in the red zone? Yeah. But any time a penalty like that decides a game I can’t help but hate it. See Pats vs. Ravens ’07.
My comments were a bit much, been long day at work and Browns suck.
Pandas: I agree with removing helmets and pads, I’d be fine with that. There would probably be a year of crazy injuries until players learned to adjust.
I don’t think Harrison is a dirty player though. What are you basing the class thing on? That phrase is overused when talking about sports IMO. He’s just playing the game, I don’t think he wants to end anyone’s career.
Eliminating the tough guy attitude? I mean I think you want some players like that, the personalities are part of sports. I mean, rap music would be less fun without crazy dudes like DMX to complement the dudes who just make music and live their lives.
The Cowboys are having a management personnel issue. The talent is there. But Wade seems to be like that parent that is also your brother/sister. They are the silliest team in football now. They need to win like 8 games to make the post and even though there isn’t a dominant team in their division, I can see Eagles and your Skins getting there before these fools.
Harrison said “I dont play to injure people, I play to hurt people”. To me that is zero class. You shouldnt be playing to hurt anyone, I dont care what a coach says. Thats psychotic. And by “tough guy persona” I mean the whole attitude of I meant to hurt him, I dont care he got a concussion, its part of the game. I dont think thats necessary. I dont recall Ray Lewis ever being happy about hurting someone, nor Sean Taylor (R.I.P), but they scared the crap out of other teams anyway. But Ray helps people up and he also is the first one praying when someone is seriously injured on either team.
agreed. but I agree with his point on not firing Wade mid-season.
If Wade is the marshmallow king, andy reid is the penguin king, and tom coughlin is the elf king… what is mike shanahan?
Also if you are Bum Philips do you disown Wade at this point?
The cyclops king?
Wade Phillips is great defensive coordinator but horrible coach. I’ve said it for years.
Why didn’t Atlanta hire him after his replacement role in 2003?
Now I have to figure something else to do on Sundays.
At Panda and Cell: The main problem is there isn’t anyone on the coaching staff worthy of replace Wade. The Princeton grad play calling ability has me pulling my hair out every sunday that now my son looks at pictures of me with hair and doesn’t recognize me in those pictures.
Joe DeCamillas would be my next choice, but we also have the worst kickoff coverage in the league. Just kickoff out of bounds and give it to them on the 40 instead of giving them a kickoff touchdown.
If there is not a lockout next year, I hope we can get a Bill Parcells like-figure to get these underachieving players to become a team.
tss is super biased.how can yall diss da lions whn they r outplayn teams like the colts cowboys vikings etc just not getn “good team” breaks.thn yall dick ride da fuckn pats like nobodys business.i can honestly say i am a FOOTBALL fan.luv my lions but also luv watchn othr games just 4the entertainment.opinion is 1thng but damn….
