Every time I hear Mysitkal, I always get the urge to listen to some yesteryear No Limit. Seeing as how that can never be confused with a bad thing, I welcomed a new record from buddy with open arms and a high speed Internet connection. Before moving further, it can’t go without saying how great it has been to see Mystikal adjust to the rap game so easily after serving six flat in the feds.
But alright, listen up, “That Woman” is a fun listen with more funny lines than I care to quote. For everyone claiming they want an artist to revert back to their glory days, this is what you have been waiting for. Truth be told, mixing it in between his spot on “Move Bitch” and “Shake Ya Ass” would blend in quite well. The New Orleans bouncy instrumental provides for the perfect backdrop as Mystikal conjures tales of previous sexcapades. It almost goes without saying Uncle Luke and Too $hort would be proud of the vulgarity.
So yeah, if you can’t tell already, I’m a fan of the song. Pending he continues to drop this type of quality on his album, “comeback artist of the year” is already sewn up before 2011 is a day old. And I could careless if that isn’t a real category.
