“Be The One” was released in the most “unique” way possible. First, the instrumental leaked. Then, a snippet. Now, the full thing. It was like advancing from kiss, to handjob to sex. From the moment play was clicked, a complete mindf*ck occurred. Lloyd began singing who at the time I thought was Trey attempting to be Lloyd. And from there the whole song and its parts just ran together. Eskay even described it as “repetitive” and one radios should swoon over. I can’t say he’s too far off.
Speakers and headphones give off the feeling of a microwaved collaboration pieced together for sake of throwing it against the wall and praying it sticks. That’s just the armchair A&R talking however. I’m almost positive hearing Polow Da Don’s latest creation while inebriated in a setting with loud music is the true test. Scratch that, I am positive. Someone pour up to this.
Lloyd’s new album King Of Hearts hits shelves the day after America’s birthday.
