Sir Aah’s been on my radar for a minute. He’s cooked up joints with the likes of Nipsey Hussle, the Clipse and, most notably, all four members of Slaughterhouse. But it’s a double-edged sword, and with all these A-List features, he’s taken some criticism, over the years, mainly for not being able to keep his raps up to their level. But “I Wonder if the Lord Knows” isn’t cast from the same mold.
His music generally peaks when he rhymes about issues that ravage his home country of Pakistan, and this song/video exemplify that. Here, Sir Aah vibrantly denounces the governmental discrimination and violence against his native people, the Ahmadiyya Muslims, while his guests Crooked I and Nickel-Nine pick the baton seamlessly to bring the politics back to home as they condemn the decade long War on Terror.
It’s a lot to handle in one bite, but odds are you’ll walk away having learned something new.
