Saigon – “Drugs”

Richard Nixon famously declared the start of his “War on Drugs” forty years ago today and now the man who penned one of 2011’s best albums thus far is throwing his own .02¢ into the fire to denounce the program’s failures.

Created in collaboration with In Arms Reach and Drug Policy Alliance, Saigon’s “Drugs” is an introspective record that is proof that even though TGSNT was written four years ago, Saigon hasn’t lost his step when it comes to problems in the hood. He’s one of the best at not only illustrating them, but also helping to find solutions as well.
