The players and owners are still at odds in the professional basketball world. Talks of collective bargaining agreement have overshadowed the NBA Draft and other free agency maneuvers. But guess what?
There’s a 2011-2012 NBA schedule.
Which is only for official purposes of course, seeing that the lockout could still bleed into the set dates, forcing it to be rearranged or scraped all together. Should the tip-off happen on time, the Dallas Mavericks and Miami Heat are poised for a rematch of the past NBA Finals on the national stage come Christmas Day. Other notable match-ups include the reigning champs facing off against the reigning MVP in Derrick Rose and the Chicago Bulls on opening day (which is set for Nov. 1st) and the fast-paced Oklahoma City Thunder against Kobe Bryant’s Los Angeles Lakers and their newly-appointed coach, Mike Brown.
That’s of course if there is a NBA season to continue to write about. Keep your fingers crossed!
