To celebrate the new season of How to Make It In America, returning to HBO tonight at 10:30 pm, the network has partnered with Jackthreads.com to launch a limited-time clothing collection inspired by the series and the first drop comes crafted by Mishka.
The HTMIIA Capsule Collection is a collaboration between the show and three leading streetwear brands: Mishka NYC, GoodWood, and Dr. Romanelli. Each brand was chosen for their embodiment of the downtown culture portrayed on the show. As part of the collection, each brand drew inspiration from HTMIIA to create original pieces available during weekly “pop up stores” on Jackthreads.com.
“We wanted to do something that would appeal to fans of the show as well as our own community,” says co-founder Greg Rivera. “Our Art Director Mike Jones, inspired by the cover of Hunter S. Thompson’s Fear and Loathing on the Campaign Trail, created the Cyco Hussler out of our iconic Cyco Simon skull.”
Check the video below for the full backstory on the origins of the graphic as told by Miskha’s founders Riveria and Mikhail Bortnik. Get the gear at JackThreads.com/Mishka and click here if you need a JackThreads invite.
