Freddie Gibbs & Statik Selektah Feat. Smoke DZA & Chace Infinite – “Keep It Warm For Ya” Video

By 11.23.11

The world just cannot get enough of Freddie Gibbs or Statik Selektah this week. LRG and Karmaloop TV emancipate the next set of visuals of the pair’s Lord Giveth, Lord Taketh Away EP. “Keep It Warm For Ya” has one of the dopest beats of the entire project and enhanced by the four stellar, accompanying verses laid. Directed by Derek Pike, the video is essentially a better edited, HD look inside Statik’s pad, so if you tuned into their Ustream when they were recording the project, the scene will definitely look familiar.

Sidenote: I nominate Smoke DZA to be the next emcee to do a full-on collaboration with Statik Selektah since the DJ’s production seems to light a fire under the Kush God’s ass. Between his verses on “Harlem Blues” off Population Control and here for “Keep It Warm…,” something just seems to click for him when he raps over a Statik beat.
