There have been three occasions where I’ve almost posted LoveRance’s skyrocketing single, “Up,” but refrained. Maybe it was the mediocre 16 Jimmy Iovine made Curtis kick or the bland video directed by Kreayshawn. But now the city of Atlanta has given me two reasons to counteract my hesitation, specifically in the form of verses from Clifford Harris and Young Jizzle. So, while the hook and simplistic beat behind the Bay Area artist’s hit weren’t quite enough to pull the ink from my pen, this promotional reworking gives the track enough star-power to garner our attention and carry it well beyond Left Coast radio.
The question is will LoveRance get any credit for it? Or, will this be seen as a 50 Cent single to the general public?
