The Interlude II dropped just a little while back, but The Kid Daytona’s here again to drop a little goodness for y’all. “Angela’s Sister” is a freestyle which finds Daytona doing his thing over the theme from Taxi. As always, dude is smooth, laconic, reflecting about life or spitting visions of that fly shit. The bars are heavy, and the vibe is laid-back. This Bob James composition was an inspired choice for a freestyle, actually. It’s remarkably smooth – I could feel myself relax as soon as the first notes hit – and Daytona sounds comfortable as hell on the track. Plus, just because, he throws a little reference to Len Bias in there. Always a good decision, if only because I can link to this video.
