Mariah Carey Feat. Ol’ Dirty Bastard – “Fantasy” (Bad Boy Remix)

Still one of the few jams you can put on at just about any club and get people out their seats, this Tom Tom Club-sampling, sing-along song is important for three reasons.

For one, the contrasting brashness of ODB’s verse made him an immediate celebrity and gave one of Shaolin’s favorite sons some unprecedented crossover love. Second of all, the double-platinum single showed Puffy could turn out hits without BIG. Lastly, the hip-hop edginess signaled a change in the way Mariah would market her music for the rest of her career and made this list possible.

A classic, to say the very least.
