You’ve got to dig a good old fashioned indie rock rap remix. There’s just something about the mix of pasty white singers and their haunting vocals that compliments gutter, real-life struggles so oddly enough that the output always comes out very original. Well, in the same vein as extra dope Cults x Freddie Gibbs collaboration you heard last year comes this remix of Prince Innocence’s “Girls,” with Deniro Farrar. Despite not really being about females at all, this relatively uptempo concoction combines the drawn-out hook from Canadian duo’s OG version of their single with all the things the keep Deniro up at night and working even harder in the booth.
We’re not quite sure where this joint will end up, but whichever project gives it burn better have some heat to match.
