G-Eazy Feat. Dominique LeJeune – “Marilyn” Video

By / 05.10.12

We’ve never posted music from G-Eazy on this site. For that, I apologize. After stumbling across his record “All I Could Do,” the New Orleans-based MC/producer’s Endless Summer mixtape has been in regular rotation and his throwback, ’50s-era sound has resonated amidst the turn of the seasons. Attempting to stay on track with this cat’s tunes, here’s the music video for his latest single, “Marilyn.”

Essentially, this is the same concept as the Hoodie Allen video we posted a few weeks back, as the storyboard pits G and his lovely lady friend curled up in turmoil over the time he unevenly divides between her and his hip-hop career. However, the difference between this and the former is that Eazy’s song seems like it was legitimately painful for him to pen, as his words come from a place of regret and Hoodie’s were more catered to the concept. While both are good, this song is much more somber and it’s emotion is carried even further by Tyler Yee’s well-directed visual, which has already started to make it’s rounds.

Seeing as this came out so well and we’re finally up to speed on G-Eazy, don’t expect to catch us slacking any longer.
