With the release of their new track “Blame,” it might seem like relatively unknown songstress K’La was the beneficiary of Nasir’s current promo run and some good timing. However, after actually listening to the aggressive R&B cut, it’s obvious us listeners were really the ones getting lucky. Once you’re dialed into the subtle push behind the Def Jam singer’s vocals and her extra catchy hook, you’re almost caught off guard by God’s Son rebutting her bias argument with a book-ending verse that doesn’t quite steal the show, but rather makes it that much more enjoyable.
