Seattle is officially “that team.” On the heels of releasing a rejuvenated Mike Williams, the Seahawks, desperate for some help at wideout, have brought in future Hall of Famer Terrell Owens for a look. Owens hasn’t played a NFL snap since a stint with the Bengals in 2010, but was recently seen making plays (and causing headaches) in the Indoor Football League.
For as many knocks as T.O. has against him, a lack of work ethic isn’t one of them. Even at 38, his gym rat mentality should ensure that he has enough in the tank to gear up for another season. And considering Seattle’s lack of weapons not named Marshawn Lynch, Matt Flynn (or whoever ends up taking snaps) will surely appreciate a proven target like Owens. At the very least, his signing would ensure two T.O./Randy Moss (who signed with the 49ers) match-ups in 2012. No telling if those would be nostalgic, incredibly depressing or a combination, but any NFL fan would watch.
