QoTD: How Much Would You Pay For Apple’s New iPad Mini?

By 10.23.12

Apple’s scheduled to announce their new iPad Mini to compete against the Amazon Kindle Fire, Barnes and Noble’s Nook and the rest of the tablets that size. However, for Apple, releasing the iPad Mini isn’t as simple as throwing it in stores and expecting people to buy it at any price.

Analysts’ guesses for the price of the Mini are all over the place, generally ranging from $249 to $349. If it costs too much, the company risks getting undercut by its rivals who are delivering a similar (if not superior) product at around $200. And if it costs too little, then it doesn’t make sense for anyone to buy the iPod Touch and Apple loses sales on the latest generation of its mp3 player.

So, for today’s “Question of the Day,” we leave it to you. How much would you be willing to shell out for the iPad Mini, if anything at all? Is it worth paying a premium to have the Apple logo on your device, or are the Kindle Fire and/or Nook good enough to fulfill all your tablet needs?
