Killing time and flipping through Hip-Hop Wired’s “The 25 Best Producers In Hip-Hop Right Now” started an internal debate we decided to carry over for a larger discussion. Which producer has had the most impact this year?
Is it a newer name like Harry Fraud, Mike Will, Young Chop? Or is it a vet like No ID, Just Blaze or Alchemist, who crafted Spitta’s Covert Coup and Domo Genesis’ No Idols? Perhaps it’s one of the guys whose name is synonymous with the top of charts like Kanye, “40” or Swizz? Not to be forgotten, guys like Araab, Cardiak, Clams Casino, Hit-Boy, Burn One and T-Minus instantly come to mind but the candidates don’t stop there. So we ask, which guy(s) behind the boards have had the best run for 2012?
