By now, it’s become commonplace for Jordan Brand to rule holiday release dates, focusing everyone’s attention on whatever retro model they drop right around Christmas. Let’s hope that’s the case just so it’ll make the “Stealth” Foams easier to cop. Nike even shifted the official release date up to December 14 to avoid another round of Christmas chaos like what happened last year (but still is going to happen, just on a less than massive scale).
The retail ticket of $200+ is enough to make me cringe but I’d rather spend it on these versus most of what’s coming out. They’re built like tanks and damn near indestructible, therefore getting your money’s worth in wears out of them shouldn’t be an issue. And oh, if I do end up with a pair, they will be worn to hell as winter beaters because that black upper and smokey sole just gives off a menacing “bring it on” that will withstand snow, salt and grime.
But as we know, Foams are a big “if” in terms of being able to grab them because hypebeasts and resellers target these joints now and, once they hit the secondary market, the cost goes up to a point where they aren’t even worth bothering. If that should happen, the blacked out Rose 773 by adidas could be a decent substitution. And obviously cheaper.
