Well, Game is leading the way with sampling the ’90s – which is really f*cking weird if you were born in the ’80s. Thankfully, the Compton endorser has good taste. After already reworking Bone’s calender classic into a solid single for his upcoming album Je5us Piece, Chuck Taylor goes R&B and flips D’Angelo’s “Lady” for this sultry dedication to the opposite sex.
People will inevitably knock the amount of features, but when you get past the cliche names, know they’re all spitting genuinely introspective verses about their respective long-term chicks – something that’s relatively rare for all of them and adds a genuine element to the track that not only makes it believable, but inevitably a warming winter hit.
The only real complaint is…what the hell happened to Fab’s verse?
