Freddie Gibbs not only knows his lane, he carves it out himself with a damn hatchet. Warming up off the gate over a choir of hyperactive strings and bellowing low-ends, the first single from DJ Muggs’ Bass For Your Face album finds everyone’s favorite GI rider disrupting the peace over some monstrously gangsta production from the Soul Assassin leader that eventually molds into dubstep. However, the way the song unravels, Muggs’ arrangement seems to specifically cater to Gibbs – as the switch doesn’t dare occur before he’s done demolishing things.
Wouldn’t it be nice if everyone catered to your standards, too?
