We haven’t paid much attention to the influx of “Started From The Bottom” reiterations released lately – with the exception of Mike Posner’s. Far from the two-track struggle remix your neighborhood dope boy is currently concocting in his closet, the Metro Detroit talent completely flips Drizzy’s hit on it’s head, by using live piano, beach guitars and a cast of his closest homeboys to spit their tales from the come-up. Plus, the track is seemingly impromptu and omits a sense of nonchalant comradery that is rare in most rap tunes.
Lastly, anyone noticing how The Pos has been on a roll lately – with an underdog attitude to boot? Putting money on this low-key hitmaker in 2013 might be a pretty safe bet.
