The City Of Angels gets a dose of hometown love and appreciation shown by three originators when “L.A. Here’s 2 U“ finds Snoop reunited with Daz and Kurupt over cruising vibes created by Charlie Red.
"Tha Dogg Pound Ft. Snoop Dogg – “L.A. Here’s 2 U”"
One Saturday me and two of my home boys were walking around Lenox Mall. We walked into FootLocker cause one of my homies was the store manager of another location so he wanted to check out their selection and say whats up to on of his pot’naz. Snoop Dogg, Daz, Uncle June Bug, and for some reason Ray J walked in that joint and decided to pick up a few things. They asked management to lower the gates so they can shop without a huge crowd. They asked everybody to leave out but we got to stay because of my homie’s affiliation with FootLocker. I was sitting on a bench with Daz and Snoop was sitting across from me, and Daz was telling me how he had cashed in on a law suit against Deathrow and Snoop was trying on shoes and shit… Dude bought his entire entourage whatever they wanted AND told me and one of my other homeboys to pick out a pair of kicks. I picked out a pair of Nike CB 180’s and the homie… I can’t remember what that nigga got, but the moral of this whole shit is that day Snoop treated 2 niggaz he didn’t even know like one of his own, Still got those 180’s, can’t throw’em away cause that’s the pair the big homie put down for… And for that reason amongst other reasons I fux wit Snoop.
Snoop seems like a genuinely great guy. Like a cool uncle, you know?
@Mr. Glass- He does call LITERALLY everybody nephew.
Snoop is a real genuine dude – and he taught others to do the same – give when you have. You roll with Snoopy and you get free everything – everyone (no one is left out). While that applies to most in the public eye… I have never witnessed Snoop stray from his generousness. Only one I have ever had trouble with is Daz – and indirectly. He had some questionable folks around him once he left Death Row. I did not like the dudes he chose to allow to run his career at that point in time.
This joint sounds like classic Snoop, Daz & Kurupt (Kurupt & Daz). Real smooth.
Dope story. Love hearing good things about artist ive looked up since i was young. Always sucks when you hear someone you admire is an asshole.
