The man behind Hip Hop’s current catchphrase, “popped a molly, I’m sweating, woo!” isn’t here to be your child’s role model nor does he want your drugs.
Trinidad Jame$ recently stopped by DJ Kay Slay’s Streetsweeper Radio show on Shade 45 and whattya know, the rapper is no longer a fan of the drug he made mainstream. instead of dapping the brother up, you all were offering the man crack rocks and other miscellaneous drugs.
“People made me hate molly. I don’t even want to look at it. It’s crazy. If I see any type of white powder, I just walk away. That’s the weirdest thing, bruh. When you be like… they be like ‘bruh, bruh’ you know I’m sayin’? Like, what is you talkin’ about, n*gga? Like, give me some dap, don’t give me no…this f*ckin’ crack rock lookin’ sh*t in my face, nigga. It’s weird, n*gga.”
Jame$ also shared some parenting advice: he doesn’t “raise your damn kids.”
“Grow the f*ck up, man. I mean, c’mon bruh. I’m not the first person to ever say something about molly, I guarantee I’m not. All I was speaking about is my own experience. When I say, ‘popped a molly, I’m sweating,’ whatever… n*gga, I said that because within that same month of making that song, that was my first time trying molly and that’s what happened when I goddamn took a molly. That’s all. N*gga, I’m not telling your kids to go out there and do no damn molly. It’s all on you how you raise your kids. Trinidad Jame$ don’t raise your damn kids. That’s just how real my music is, I didn’t just tell you, I gave you the experience.”
