There’s something to be said about Yelawolf’s career, and chances are they’ve already been waxed when speaking on Vado and Nipsey Hussle. The talent is there. The output, however, has not. It’s probably safe to say this isn’t all Yela’s doing because the music industry can ruin momentum and halt a career even quicker than it can make one.
Still, I’d be lying if I said my interest was the same in Catfish Billy as it was some two or three years ago. Hopefully, this train of thought is nearing the end of its life span as Yela continues to put the final touches on Trunk Muzik Returns set to drop March 14. A look into the project comes in the form of his country, yet extraterrestrial “Way Out” video. Not bad, but nothing to proclaim a comeback is on the horizon either.
Yela doesn’t need to worry about impressing me, though. I’m one voice in a sea of millions. All he needs to be concerned with is getting the ball rolling for a career that appeared promising once upon a time. He’s got the talent, and the original Trunk Muzik still bangs to this day. Speaking of Yela’s debut, and who knows if this is even possible, but reuniting with Burn One could prove prosperous for all parties involved.
Including the fans.
