Warner Brothers is staying pretty mum about most of the new developments surrounding the Justice League film. Thanks to Latino Review, though, we’re getting some possible info. Apparently, a series of events could unfold that would have Christian Bale reprising his role as Batman for the upcoming movie.
The entire theory revolves around two truths: one, that Christopher Nolan, director of the Dark Knight trilogy, is returning as a sort of super-producer for the project, putting all of the pieces together to make this thing work. And secondly, per the review:
“Remember, Bale even told Empire Magazine last summer, ‘If Chris came to me with a script and said, ‘you know what? There is another story,’ then I would love the challenge of making the fourth one work.'”
Speculation aside, the obsessive comic book heads over at the LR are as reliable a source as we’re going to get until we directly hear Nolan say “Bale is our guy.” We’ll continue to update you as more JL details trickle out, but needless to say, getting one of the biggest names in comic book movie history on board is a huge step in the right direction.
