Eric Koston’s the man. Without a doubt, one of skateboarding’s elder statesmen has continued to confound fans in the best ways possible heading into his third decade in the game.
In anticipation of the release of his Nike Koston 2 signature model, his footwear sponsor made a nice little advertisement that hit upon all of this “he said, she said” rhetoric that surrounds Koston and his board flipping prowess. The clip features distinguished Nike men Tiger Woods and Kyrie Irving, among others, building the hype around what Koston may or may not have done at a local ledge spot, as security guards, vicious canines and rail stoppers attempt to halt the Girl team member.
The Koston 2, meanwhile, is just as clean, sharp and performance-enhanced as its predecessor. It includes a Lunarlon sockliner for added cushioning–thanks in part to Koston’s love of Nike’s LunarGlide series of running shoe–and TPU-reinforced suede along the toecap for increased durability.
Look out for the Koston 2 on April 1 when it hits selected retailers. It retails at $90. Watch the spot below.
