Considering his catalouge consists of just about every type of song you can think of, it would be easy to to pin Mistah F.A.B.’s “Is Heaven Guaranteed” as a soft, somber track. But, if you did, you’d be sorely mistaken.
Instead of soft pads and angelic choirs carrying an airy sound, the Bay’s freestyle king uses a murderous concoction of spine-tingling chord strikes, towering strings and an aggressive bass melody to offer the man above a window into his twisted surroundings. Speaking on everything from family business to work-related worries, Fabby Davis uses that mean soundscape to let off what sounds like some very genuine steam, using his self-made forum to take his concerns to the only person left to impress.
For F.A.B.’s sake, let’s hope He listens.
