A would-be robber got more than he bargained for outside of an Atlanta sneaker store when one of his victim’s turned the tables.
According to Channel 2 Action News, customers lined up outside WISH in Little Five Points on Saturday morning, waiting to purchase the Nike LeBron X “Denim.” Around 5:30am, those standing in line were approached by a man looking to rob them. One customer happened to be armed with a firearm and open fire on the would-be robber. The suspect ran a few yards, collapsed and died.
Police investigated the matter, determining the armed customer had a concealed carry permit and claimed he acted in self-defense. Witnesses confirmed his story and police decided not to file charges. Asked about the dead assailant, one witness commented, “I didn’t even expect him to come up here, thinking it was that sweet; Thinking it’s that candy land like that.”
According to Action 2, he went and stood back in line to buy the shoes.
