Twinkies will make a return to store shelves within a few weeks. The highly favored snack and other similar items by Hostess were lost in a battle between previous ownership and workers, one that forced the company to cease production and seek Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
After a deal was brokered in March, Hostess is now owned by by investment firms Metropoulos & Co. (which also owns Pabst Brewing Co.) and Apollo Global Management, Hostess Twinkies will be making a return to store shelves on July 15. Current Hostess president Rich Seban declares that the golden cakes will still be the same and will even still be priced at $3.99 for a box of 10.
