If you were of age back in 1995, you’ll remember Dead Presidents was marketed like a street-oriented gangster movie, to capitalize on thuggin’ trends across the entertainment industry. Yet, instead of making something completely similar to their prior film Menace II Society, the Hughes Brothers directed a throwback flick that kicked perspective on neighborhood Vietnam vets who leave for war with high hopes and come back with nothing to live for. Then, face paint and armed robberies come into play and iconic movie posters come about as a result.
