About the only way Mother Nature cancels the second annual Trillectro Music Festival is the end of the world happening. I know this because at one point last year it rained cats and dogs, but the show kept rocking as if it wasn’t a cloud in the sky. Expect the same dedication this Saturday.
The all-day festival (12-9) takes place at the Half Street Fairgrounds (1229 Half Street SE, Washington DC). For residents of the DMV who don’t do actual addresses, but only know where landmarks are, it’s right behind the Nationals stadium. Either that or take the metro and get off at the Navy Yard-Ballpark station on the green line. Artists confirmed to perform are: Wale, Shy Glizzy, Phil Ade, Casey Veggies, A$AP Ferg, King Chip, Nadastrom and more.
Aside from the music, stuff your face with food and drinks while supporting local clothing brands and gaming opportunities. Seriously, it’s a one stop shop for anyone looking to get into something this weekend.
Bonus: Before the festivities begin, the homie Modi of DC to BC and the brain trust behind the event put together a mixtape serving as an appetizer before the actual entree this weekend. And if that’s still not enough, check out footage from last year to see what you’re potentially getting yourself into.
