L.A.’s Quiz is prepping to release his next project, Air Max 90’s, but before looking forward, he’s taking a quick step back into the archives with a video for the Rapper Big Pooh featured “Just Do Me.” The record was one of the standouts from last year’s Dope Kicks, Fresh Hats and it’s finally getting the video treatment.
In the song, Quiz speaks on several things, most notably his relationship with his family and how growing up in a complete, functional household empowered him to confidently stand by his beliefs in the face of doubt. And while the concept isn’t novel, in a genre filled with broken homes and less than fortunate upbringings, it’s a different perspective that shows the other side of the coin. But it’s still Rapper Big Pooh’s classy closing verse that really seals the deal and sends the track off in fitting fashion.
As an extra, Quiz is opening the vault one more time to put out “Talk Shit, Burn Rubber” with THURZ and also originally found on DKFH. Download the full project here.
