Considering how thick the lineup is for A3C 2013, past attendees are probably already plotting how they’ll map out Oct. 2-6. However, if you’ve never been to the Atlanta-based Hip-Hop festival and plan on going this year, listening to Kane Mayfield’s “A3C” series may be of benefit.
In an attempt to set expectations for newbies, this Baltimore native navigates listeners through the entire extended weekend of festivities, using beats from Alchemist’s Chinatown Wars GTA station and plenty of vivid wordplay to deliver some necessary dos and don’ts we can indeed vouch for. A3C is definitely more of a marathon than a sprint, so hearing Mr. Mayfield speak on the benefits of pacing yourself was one that stood out specifically. That, and his instructions on how to handle yourself when smoking with rappers, which can be quite likely at events where artists are this accessible.
