Be on the lookout for San Francisco-based producer Bayroo Burner –– dude is on his way to being something formidable. So far his work has been featured on albums with Action Bronson, Fabolous, and Troy Ave. He’s won beat battles in Jackson, MS, Baton Rouge, and back home in CA. When he’s not locked in behind the boards, Bayroo teaches at-risk youth in his spare time via the Oakland-based Today’s Future Sound project and Baton Rouge’s Pro Mix DJ Academy.
But it’s his perfect mix of past and future, his masterful synths and his multi-layered, gorgeous sound full of ‘70s samples that make him one of our new artists to watch. His full-length debut album, ITEMS, released last Friday along with a video for the new single, “Mother’s Day.”
“This album is my debut to the world,” Bayroo tells us, “full of samples from the old music my parents blasted around the house when I was a kid. I hope people hear something refreshing in it that puts them in a different environment each song…like, ‘this is my driving on a hot night windows down song’.”
Well, there are the instructions. Watch the video below then seek out ITEMS on iTunes.
