Much has been made about the recent direction of Justin Bieber’s music and what it means for the long-term. Is it merely a flash in the pan, or the inklings of an insanely successful crossover project in the vein of what My Way was for his predecessor Usher? That being pondered, imagining his team straying away from what has been generally overwhelming positive feedback the past month is next to impossible.
The fourth #MusicMonday entry, “Recovery,” digs deep into the crates while sampling Craig David’s “Fill Me In.” David, who was all too humbled by the nod, took to Twitter to sing his praises, “So many great memories flood back when hearing this guitar riff. Well done @justinbieber sounding great.”
It’s hard to disagree, too. Bieber’s four-for-four. If he keeps this up, MTV’s going to revive Unplugged.
