Savage Life 4 comes out November 19. Who knew?
“The Realest” is the first look inside the fourth installment of Webbie’s trademark series. Normally, new Savage music is always welcomed, and Lloyd’s been criminally under-appreciated for years, but the single has the sound of something straight out of the handbook David warned us about last week. It’s not even microwavable rap. It’s having to pour water in your cereal because someone only left a gulp of milk left in the container and put it in the back of the fridge only to get your hopes up.
Webbie has long been able to craft odes to the fairer sex (even if his most recognizable one could be seen as sorta-kinda sexual assault-y) and Lloyd’s hook game is solidified. But this ain’t that and that ain’t this.
If there is a silver lining, however, take solace in the fact Webbie will more than likely be making promo runs for SL4 in the coming weeks. What’s all this mean? New. Webbie. Interviews. That and maybe, just maybe, this is the last Trill Entertainment-related project before Boosie comes home and the long-awaited Ghetto Stories 2 automatically becomes 2014’s album of the year. Right!?
