Killa Kyleon’s take on Kanye West’s “Blood On The Leaves” was very sharp on wax, and his deep-rooted visuals add another element to the verse. Wearing a shirt with Trayvon Martin’s face on it and standing in front of what can probably be assumed to be a lynching tree (in the same vein as Kanye’s VMA performance), it’s quite a thought-provoking spectacle.
And couple that imagery with actual photographs of lynchings and a burning cross and you have a full-fledged rendition of one of the most poignant records from Yeezus. And as for Killa’s actual bars? Yeah, they hit home just as hard as the visuals. But you already knew that, didn’t you?
