Jarell Perry Ft. Locksmith – “Don’t Run From Me”

Jarell-Perry-Eleven

We already know what kind of an explosive chemistry Locksmith and Jarell Perry have on wax, most notably on their Rihanna-inspired “Broken.” That song wound up belonging in the upper echelon on Lock’s standout project, The Green Box. And with their latest record, “Don’t Run From Me,” the pair of artists are announcing a small tour together, and hopefully there’ll be a little bit more music made somewhere along the road.

Locksmith’s bars are as fiercely aggressive as always, and Jarell’s crooning vocals are the perfect contrarian element, serving to add a calmer, more serene element to help temper the flames. And even though Lock scales back his flow a bit for the sake of artistry, the way he effortlessly dips in and out of double time flow shows why he’s one of the more technically proficient rappers in the game.
