If ever a song should have been made about 20 years ago to coincide with a movie, it is Reese’s “Mobbin” and Kids. In essence, they filmed a 2013 version of the 1995 cult classic that starred Chloë Sevigny, Leo Fitzpatrick, Justin Pierce, Harold Hunter, and Rosario Dawson. It is, of course, in Atlanta instead of New York, and stars Reese, as well as some of the Two9 crew and all of their friends.
Up until now, we’ve seen Reese as the designer trap rapper, rapping about an expensive life over equally luxurious trap beats, with the likes of Zaytoven, Metro Boomin, Mike Will, with the list going on. In “Mobbin,” though, we see a different side to him. Already having a career as a skater, this video was a way for him to pay homage to that with the help of Motion Family.
