DMX got nabbed once again on Monday night in South Carolina. That’s where police pulled him over as he drove up to Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport early on Monday evening. The 42-year-old rapper was officially charged with driving on a suspended license and without a vehicle tag and insurance, according to the Spartanburg County Detention Center. The charges are almost identical to his previous arrest in South Carolina, which just occurred in August.
Per DMX’s publicist:
“DMX was released at 9:46pm Eastern Monday night. He was arrested on minor traffic charges and spent only three hours in jail. This short arrest will not affect any of his upcoming concerts and he is planning on performing with Swizz Beatz on Wednesday’s Wendy Williams Show.”
1. Cops are targeting X. Let’s just go ahead and say it. We’re not even talking Hip-Hop cops I’d say; just basic Barney Fife types. Police in Arizona and South Carolina clearly have a hard-on for Earl. They see him blow by and they know they’re about to chalk one up for their monthly quotas. However…
2. Earl, if you don’t have a license, don’t get behind the wheel. At the rate these moving violations are piling up, the better move would be to save a percentage of any show money to put towards a.) a driver (write it into your show rider) and b.) paying whatever is owed to the courts so your license gets reinstated. Otherwise, cops are just going to keep taxin’ that ass.
